Being Sick, unfunny, blog, & Norcal
The
Sickness
So I
managed to get through almost the whole sick season
without actually getting sick. I say almost, because
as I type this, I am sick. Not sure if I eve have the
strength right now to make faces at you through the
computer screen.
Not
Enough Funny
I wanted
to sit down this afternoon and watch a funny,
light-hearted movie while I ate my caramel popcorn
(scrumptious!). I perused my library, and eventually
landed on Naked Gun 33
⅓ . Not
because it’s the funniest thing I have, but because
all my few other funny movies I’ve watched recently.
And I got to thinking, Why aren’t there MORE funny
movies? I love funny movies. But, they do have to
actually be funny, not just tell me they are funny.
Which may explain why there are so few: it’s dang
hard to actually get it right, I guess. Also, I don’t
own the latest funny movie because I refuse, REFUSE,
I TELL YOU, to buy another movie on DVD. I’ve stuck
my heels in on this; no more movie purchases except
in the next-gen hi-def format. Whichever that may
turn out to be, whenever that is…
Investigative
Reading
I spent
some time yesterday and this morning reading…. My own
blogs. I wanted to see if I had a particular style
that carried throughout, or if I waned from style to
style depending on my mood. Verdict? Both. I do tend
to keep about the same pace throughout, and I most
definitely cuss WAY WAY too much. But the jokes and
comedy style change.
I’m a moody bitch, what can I say, muthafucka?

I’m
moving. Up north. Yes, we all know this by now. And
the time has about come for me to actually APPLY to
some places. I was hoping this would all transpire
much more smoothly than I now fear it will; I wanted
to gradually transition from here to there, but I now
think that I’m going to have to take a FEW trips up
for interviews, unpaid, and take what I can get. And
probably leave my current job before I had planned.
We’ll see, but that is my changing landscape, I
think.
Oh, and me & The Girl came to the decision that
we are NOT going to go blabbing about how nice it is
up where we’re going. We don’t want a whole bunch of
tag-alongs, you know? It’s perfect the way it is, no
need to go dragging So Cal problems to Nor Cal, the
way we see it.
So from here on out? It’s cold up there! COLD COLD
COLD COLD COLD! And Rainy! And wet! And, um, Wild
boars! Lots of wild boars! Be careful up here; it’s a
jungle!
Peace.
